AS a MF guy, I can tell you that the argument is IMO stupid. MF is MF is MF. The enlargement ratio (reproduction ratio) is only argumentative if your using an apples to apples comparison like back in the film days. But there is still IMO no comparison of formats when you get into the pro end of photography. The new Hassys that have the same tech as the FF and APS sensors if and ONLY if they hit out at the same pixel size (2-3 micron) then were back into the realm of MF taking out small format. But as so eloquently mentioned above, IF the same tech was applied to large format, all bets are off. The real problem in the argument is pixel size. if your on an apple to apple, then the argument is valid. if say new 90D 4 micron vs. 9 micron fat pixel, guess what. But in the hands of a rank amature, this argument is all academic. so there! Neeners neeners!
