Now, here is the story.

I stopped at a garage sale on Sunday. Outside was a guitar on a stand with a
case as well. I have always wanted to learn to play guitar. I am 36 years old
and feel like I may be running out of time. ;)

So I ask the lady how much..."Seventy five" she replies. I look at her like...Ouch!
That seems a bit steep. She says her girlfriend says it was pretty expensive in
the day. Still... seventy five bucks.

So I leave, go home, change the oil in 2 vehicles and rotate the tires on my
truck. (The wheels on that thing come almost to my waist...sheesh)

I remember the name on the guitar. It was Larrivee. I am no guitar expert
so I decided to see what I might be able to get one on eBay for. Heh...check
for yourselves.

Oh yeah, obviously I went back and bought it. 8)

wow! what a find!
I like the pic minus the dark shaddow at the bottom.
I would normally say go B&W but the color of that guitar is just so purdy

I dunno, I like the shadows...good shot of a good find :)

Have fun learning...the guitar's a fantastic thing to get into...well, music in general, but guitar's probably the most accessible instrument

Thanks!

I set it down on the couch to run out and get the mail. When I came back
inside, I saw it sitting there in the sun with the shadows and all and thought...
crap, where is my camera?! Arrgh... I bet that shadow moved 2 inches in the
amount of time it took me to get my camera out and get it set right. Heh.

Nice lighting, congrats on the new guitar!

I don't guess anyone took a look at the eBay link huh?

Best garage sale buy I have ever gotten. I have come close... but this takes the cake.

Here is the link to the manufacturers site. www.larrivee.com

I had a look at the ebay link, seems you did good!!! Now to learn how to play. My significant other got me an electric for christmass two years ago. I din't know how to play either so I took some evening classes at a local guitar shop. It felt a little wierd being 50 in a room full of 14 to 18 year olds wanting to learn metal. It was fun though.

Enjoy.

Heh, we do garage sales year round down here. I think it is going to be in the
70's for the rest of the week and into the weekend. ;)

Yeah, it is pretty much one of those jewel in the trash kind of finds. I have
decided I am not going to sell it. I am going to learn how to play the guitar on
a $1,000.00 guitar. :)
