Hi all!

A couple of months back I bought the Canon A80 - taking an interest in photography has certainly changed my view of London.

Please take a moment to visit my online photo gallery and let me know what you think of my photos. It would also be nice if you used the rating feature on my site to rate the photos that you like.

To give you a couple of examples, I have selected two photos that have received high ratings from previous visitors to my gallery:

The London Eye

St Paul's Cathedral

Thank you for taking the time to visit the gallery, I look forward to receiving your comments on the photos along with any tips if you have them.

On a side note, it would also be nice to know what you think of the website too - the site was entirely hand coded by myself.

Thank you,

Nice images, particularly the one of St. Pauls. I have a shot very similar to it, except I got quite orangey casts and didnt zoom in quite as much.

The site is good, it looks professionally done.

The first photo is really graphic! I am not sure if I would like to see more of the ferris wheel. Good job on the web site. I can tell that a lot of work went into it.

I like the sky gradient in the first one, but the light streaks in the water adds a great touch to your second picture. The overall lighting is perfect too.

Thanks Craig - the Ferris Wheel is the London Eye. I think what makes that photo special is the tones you see in the sky, it is very rare that we get a sky like that in London. As for the cropping, I cropped the picture to show just one quater of the wheel - a shot I wanted to do for a very long time.

For non-Londoners a regular picture of the London Eye can be found here: http://www.londoneye.com/view/images/gallery/your/your_large8.gif

I had a look at your gallery Craig, you certainly have your own style :) I really liked the Redwood photos, not sure why, maybe because in the thumbnails they looked like blood!

Harpper, thanks for your positive comments too, again for the non-Londoners, the bridge leading to St Paul's Cathedral is our famous Millennium Bridge - I'll soon have more photos of it in my gallery. I agree, I like the lighting in that picture too.

Thanks to everyone once again,

More comments and tips welcome!
