I have been looking to upgrade to a better lens for my Canon 350d.I have narrowed my choices down to the Canon 70-200 L series 2.8 and the Sigma 70-200 2.8 EX.I have read numerous reviews and it seems that the Sigma is the better deal because you are getting basically the same features for several hundred less.Feel free to give me your opinions on these two lenses.THANKS!

the sigma is actually only a few hundred less (sigma is around $800 new and the canon L is around $1K). the sigma is good, but if you can pull the extra cash I'd definitely go for the canon. it has faster and more accurate AF, better build quality, better servicing (if you have something go wrong you can get it fixed quickly and easily if you have a warranty), better bokeh, and slightly better optics. if you're trying to save money, the sigma is still a great lens though.
