I cranked my ISO up and I think it ruined my images. Take a look.

Is that a question or a statement?

When you raise your ISO, you get more noise.

Damn..... I would have use a fill flash but it broke so we used a reflector. So is this unusable? or just not good if blown up big? In a way it looks like film grain.

Well, you can try to apply some noise reduction with software. That won't completely fix the image, but it should help to reduce the noise.

Post a full res. photo. I'm sure you did not "ruin" it.

I am. Noise reduction is going to ruin the skin texture. For all intents and purposes the skin texture is nothing but noise.

^This.... apparently High ISO and underexposed also. Appears that the exposure was brought up in processing... as it is very noisy. Any print you do will show that, and the larger you go, the worse it will look!

I am assuming the image you posted is a crop of the main image? If that is a major crop, the full image might be somewhat usable, but will still have noise obviously!

Won't know for sure without access to the full image SOC.

A lot of my 7D images look like this box full of sand when looking at them at 100% crop, even at low ISOs, but work out just fine, even on large prints.

What is the viewing distance you plan on using or the images?

Thankyou.

Lots of carts before mules in here.

OMG IT'S HIDEOUS! THE .... NOISE?

Actually there's far more JPEG compression artefacts than noise in that picture. There's no visible noise if you are interested in look at the picture. If on the other hand your only interest is that fingernail paint she's got then I highly suggest getting closer to her fingers next time ;)

The color is overall, a bit odd...rather orange. Yeah...the shot shown has a lot of noise, but it looks even and tight. Ehhhh...it does look a bit like film grain, except that it is exceedingly regular, and film grain is more irregular. UNfortunate. I'm sure we've all done this a time or two...accidentally shot "great shots" at....ISO "Ooopsie!!! Level!"...I know I have done it,more than once...but less than ten times...so yeah...bummmmmer deal,dude...Oh,well--Next Time!! Keep shooting Dylan!
