Actually.. he is that big. 
He loved the shot and paid well for it as his main promo shot. Guess it was up to him. I will certainly keep your comment in mind for other "larger" performers. I guess they love the angle of the shot and not how it might make them look larger. Besides...being large isn't a bad thing .. unhealthy yes... but not bad.

You were only shooting at ISO500 so you could have uped it to 800 and made your aperture smaller to get a better DOF
