Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I am putting together a photo book about 140 pages long.

Is it worth buying and trying to learn how to use InDesign to make one book? Or will the software costs pay a pro for design fees?

If it is better to do it myself, how did you go about learning to use In Design?

Thanks

Why not use a photo book company like Blurb or Photobox? You could print off ten books for the price of a copy of InDesign or a Designer.

I need 200 to 400 books

Impossible to answer, for I don't know how much intuitive knowledge you may have. Some who are proficient with a lot of different software, especially Adobe Illustrator may find it easy to pick up. There are many tutorials on YouTube. Adobe allows you a 30 day trial period. Another option is to try Scribus.net. A free, Open Source alternative. It has come a long way over the years.

I use indesign for a lot of my classes such as document design and message design. I like the features that it offers. I would recommend it but then again it isn't as easy as a drag and drop. It's a pretty complex program for someone to quickly pick up on.
