Indoor flash ideas

Hi, I'm a student at the New England school of Photography and did very well my first semester but this ones a lot more challenging and I haven't been doing well on the assignments.

We just learned about Flash and we have a simple assignment to shoot an indoor subject using the speedlights. I'm look for any creative ideas to get me started on what I could do. I really want to try and wow my teacher on this assignment.

Perhaps you could post a few of your examples to give us an idea of which direction you wish to go. The opportunities are boundless at the moment.

Turn off all the room lights. Set camera to 2nd-curtain flash. Write your name with an LED, then let the flash go off. It'll make for an interesting picture.
