Inexpensive wide angle

I am looking to buy a wide angle lens compatible with my Rebel T2i. I would like to know if any of you know of any such products that are inexpensive yet worth purchasing. Preferably under $150, but I realize that may be an impossible goal.

May I suggest that you first decide what you are looking for by reading the reviews, then haunt the used equipment listings until you find it at the price you are willing to pay.

The kit lens that shipped with the Canon camera cover the wide angle range.

Whatever you do, do NOT buy a cheapo screw in macro lens adapter that screws into the front of a particular lens! These are typically $40 or less and frequently come with a screw in telephoto adapter as well. They are complete junk! About a year ago, I figured "what the heck? It's only $40". Lighting a match to the money and smearing the ashes on the front element of my lens would have given better results!
