infrared in photoshop

I'm going to move this over to the tutorials forum, since PS is not considered an alternative process. ;)
 
Duplicate your background layer, invert, set blend mode to color.

Channel mixer adjustment layer with 100% blue channel, 0 in others. Volia. Adjust contrast as desired.
 
mat when i tried your suggestion...it turned pink...any idea why?

Sorry, I forgot to mention check "monochrome" on the channel mixer box. It's going to be black and white.

It should look something like this:

i can seem to find the "monochrome" selection area

You'll find the monochrome tick box once you open up the channel mixer. It's down the bottom of the pop up box.

To open channel mixer... Layer -> New adjustment layer -> Channel Mixer.
