Hey everyone, I've got a photo essay to put together for a final in class and my original idea was to do a series on the desert (Mojave) landscape in infrared.
However, given that I've no hands-on experience with infrared film and this assignment is due as a presentation in a few weeks, my instructor suggested that I instead use Ilford SFX film with a dark red filter as that would produce a near-infrared effect.
With that said, I've done some research on Ilford SFX and know that I should probably go with a Hoya R72 infrared filter and compensate 5 stops.
Has anyone here shot any type of desert landscape with this type of film? What was your experience? Any tips on processing/printing?
Thanks!
