I'm a pretty mellow guy. I don't take things too seriously (usually). Follow a lot of these threads to learn, and really get a lot out of them. A lot of really knowledgeable contributors.
Back to the "is it just me" part - What's the deal with posters who feel it their obligation to post comments like "it's always best to number your photos - you'll get more feedback that way" or "Understanding Exposure is a must read" I get it if you're chiming in with your .02 - And if this is coming from a variety of sources, great. I get the sense though that a couple of posters are on Brian Peterson's payroll, as I see the same people add the same comments in response to these type of questions. Post the question "What's a great beginner book?" and you'll see what I mean.
I know that the number of posts you have = your contribution to the site. I tend to take comments from heavy posters with greater weight because I automatically assume that they have a strong grasp of concepts and are able to speak on a number of topics with a high level of expertise. Maybe the wrong assumption, but there it is. Irritating that a couple of posters drive up their numbers with posts like those I mentioned above.
Odd rant... am I the only one?
