Is this a good price for a 1ds mark ii?

Looking at a 1ds mark ii camera that is 2 years old but in good condition. Is 2400.00 a good price for it?

I think that one cost around $8000 brand new, so at two years old, that doens't sound unreasonable.

Here is a used one at B&H for $2500

I persoanlly would have a hard time spending 2400 on a 1DsII when the 5DII is about $300 more, better ergonomics, much better image quality in low light and resolution, better LCD, and video.

The only thing the 1D provides is wider AF area, build, and a vertical grip.

I would think that the vastly better AF and build, give it an advantage over the 5DII...for some people.

Going strictly on image quality, the 5DII probably does give you more for your money.
