Is this a lens flare?

Hey guys, I was just looking over some images taken awhile back and I noticed this strange streak in the middle of my photo.
At first, it looks like a ray of sunlight, but I'm just not too sure...

Looks like an atmospheric phenomenon.

Maybe a dirty streak on the filter or lens. The lens flares I've seen are usually rounded / polygonal.

Sounds like a possibility.

Looks more like rays of the sun popping over the top of the hillsides into slightly foggy air to me. But if it happens again, clean the lens.

That is what it looks like to me as well. I looked at the 1600x pixel wide image on Flickr.
