Is this compatible?

Hi, I've made this account just to ask this question.
I was wondering if the Nikon Nikkor AF 70-210mm f/4-5.6 lens is compatible with the D3200 and how do I tell if any other lenses are compatible with the D3200 for the future?

it will fit but wont autofocus. Any nikon lens to be fully compatable has to have an inbuilt motor on the lens. I think they normally have AF-S written on them somewhere

Thanks, the autofocus wont be a problem to me, i don't really use it

It wont auto focus, but it will mount and meter like any other CPU lens.

Consult your camera user's manual. There is a table of lenses which tells you how they are compatible with your camera. (i.e.: AF or not)
