It's Almost That Time Again

While driving through Myakka River State Park yesterday I saw a group of turkeys running down the road and then cut into the brush at the side of the road so I pulled over for a few shots. They were tough shots using the big 600 mm in the dark shade/dabbled light but I liked how they saw me but kept coming closer and closer for close ups, within 12 feet. A lot was done to control the noise but I'm fairly satisfied considering everything.

They have a slightly longer stay of execution here with us until Xmas. We don't really do that Thanksgiving stuff you lot do. Still yummy tho.

They don't know how lucky they are over there, nor do these particular ones, being that they're protected on that land and well, dumb birds. Step outside the boundary and it's turkey sandwiches for two weeks! :drool2:
