What's new

JERRY!

Hey I ordered my stuff yesterday, I was wondering if you already did the battery or antenna mod. I was thinking of doing it but I don't know how difficult it would be.

And by the way how do you like the setup?

Once the hole for the battery wires were drilled (which took me 5 seconds to do), it took me 10-15 seconds to solder the 2 batteries to the proper terminals. Done.

Once I had the proper wire cut to the right length (which took me 45 seconds, because I measured twice... cut once), it took me 5 seconds to solder it to the proper spot on the transmitter. It took me an additional 15 seconds to wrap the wire around a small screwdriver and close the cover.

It took longer for the soldering iron to heat up than it took for me to do 1 transmitter and 4 receivers... lol

It was just brutal, I tell you! :lmao:

I haven't had chance to do much yet, but hopefully today I can. Reading the manual, it's kind of confusing. :)

The only real problem I have noticed is that the cactus receiver doesn't really fit in the swivel mount - it's very loose, and teh screw which is suppose to hold it in place winds up going under it. I'm going to have to find a way to rig it. Other than that, tho, everything seems very nice.

I will be doing the battery mod today, probably, but I'll hold off on the antenna until I actually need it.

Good luck with yours. I'm sure you'll have lots of fun :)
