G'day all

It's a long weekend, sunny and warm, and the tourists have swarmed into town
Here's several images of the water-revellers zooming past my window-seat on the world!

1)-

typical exif= Lumix FZ-200; 1/1600s x F4,0; lens at 8x zoom/ 400mm FFequiv; ISO-200

One thing I noticed -yet again- was that the male drivers were always more aggressive in the waves they bashed thru, than the female drivers. What affect this has on the hull of the watercraft I do not know

As always, feedback welcome
Phil

Great action shots! These folks are making the water fly. Nice work!

Lots of problems with them on our lake, as most of the riders are young. The state will license a 14 yr old to drive a PWC without restrictions. Last year a boy was killed and his passenger seriously injured when they lost control and hit a tree on the shore running 60 mph. This year a lot of reports of them coming in close to boats fishing, Marine Patrol has been busy writing tickets, arresting underage drivers, and towing watercraft. Haven't seen as many out lately.

That first shot reminds me of the time i did this in Mexico. Caught a wave went up.... came down i held on but wife got thrown and when like a bowling pin across the water. Luckily she laughed it off.

Many years ago on my first visit to Australia, for the first time, I hired a Jet sky. We were in northern Queensland, and the guy from whom I hired the Jet Sky gave me instructions on how to get back on should I fall off. He said that if I couldn't get back on you had better hope I get to you before the Sharks did. All very reassuring I thought.. :eek-73:

Nice action shots :). Not fun of them, mind you. Here in BC there are calls to ban them in some areas as they come quite close to the shore and disturb wildlife and their eggs.

Being a kayaker i loathe jet ski's & there human operators! Even worse is when ones out bush looking for creatures, its the bloody motor bikes and there human operators scarring them off.

I haven't seen a jet ski for 5 years lol. First image like wow lots of air.
