Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
A friend I have known from the internet modified vehicle forums and fellow photo enthusiast just called to ask if I am available and interested to shoot a 3 day corporate event....in Las Vegas.

Apparently they've seen my photos from Flickr or Facebook and like my style ...I know I'm supposed to be very egotistical and think I'm a great photog but I'm not and rather the more I learn the less I know, if you get me.

The deal is hotel and meals paid, good hotel and restaurants were named. Most shooting at night and indoors, 20-30 hours total time over the 3 days and nights. I'm expecting the full details tomorrow including venue and desired shots, etc.

I have little idea what my time is valued, I'm a rank amateur but looking to make a little to compensate for the cost of my gear ;)

Nice gig :) Sounds like it is going to be alot of fun!

Yeah, it would be awesome. Nothing firm here mind ya, they only wanted to know if I was available and interested, but I am. :)

Enjoy and post some pics where you're done :)

Yeah, thanks!

Received the official inquirey from the corporate office manager this morning. Looks like ~30 hours shooting time over 5 or 6 various locations on the strip, conference rooms and restaurants during the 3 days/nights.

They want 50-100 shots from each location and at the end of the gig to have them all on a single flash drive? Looks like I will need to learn to edit a bit faster or mass convert to jpg and color correct using LR3 en mass.

I am open to all suggestions, tips and ideas. :)

Sounds wonderful TreverIt. And BTW, you are a much better photog than you think you are. :-) *fan*

You can open mulitple photos to edit with the photoshop raw converter. Usually I can pull up about 20 images at a time and edit them individually and then select them all to be processed simultaneously. then you just have to save them as jpegs. That many files would require a rather large flash drive as well. make sure they pay for that too. Shouldnt be more then about $20 though. 50-100 shots per locations is rather excessive though. There is no way they could realistically use 600 pictures taken in only three days. I would stick to the lower end of that spectrum or ask for additional compensation for timely deliverables.

Thanks. I submitted my qoute, now to see if it's accepted. :)

I made a simple contract and sent it off as a word doc. She wants me to pic my 5 best shots and send them in for management review.

Anyone want to look at my photostream and choose my 5 best? Jeesh! :D
