very nice. if the top of her head was in the original image i would have included that. But still a very nice shot.

First, the positive. I am a fan of partial framing. So, I like that you can only see a part of the cat. I also think you got excellent contrast and range in the fur.

I think the background steals some of the focus, since it looks visibly brighter than parts of the black fur. Something that was a different color in the background? Not necessarily any darker, but something to make the cat pop away.

My immediate thought is: I miss the ears. I find that in cat-portraits the triangular pointy ears are important. But that is probably just me...

I too am not a fan of partial framing, however I know that it has become very popular in pet photography. Very nice photo, but I would love to see it with more contrast in the background.

Thank you all for the feedback, actually this is raw image converted to jpg and resized only, I didn't have to do any manipulation, I might try to mess with it though with some of the suggestions. thanks!
