both have a strange exposure in the sky... quite hazy and blown out.

on the second I like the two "faces" Gives it a funny touch as if the mechano-martians had just landed

would like to see their necks as well though.. and maybe get rid of most of the sky.

I really like the first image because it's difficult initially to see what it is. It looks like the yellow trees in the distance are spilling into the foreground. Very interesting.

However, your frame at the top ruins it. I would actually crop this one right where you add the frame (even if you remove it). Adding that single horizontal bar competes with the rest of the composition and looks very out of place.
