Just got my EOS 1000D Very First DSLR. Teach me!

Hey guys finally got my camera in today! So stoked!
Went for a test drive today just trying out different features and just messing about. While i was taking photos it gave me an error saying card wasnt formatted so i formatted the card thinking the photos i had taken were on the camera Then i lost all my photos lol Silly me.

Anyone have some tutorials on photography i can read through? Ive started going through the camera manual just to get familiar with the functions and such but its still pretty confusing for me.

If you have anything to share on the camera itself or techniques please do!

+1 on "Understanding Exposure". The Scott Kelby books are a neat resource too, a very quick read with some outstanding advice for new shooters.
