Hey everyone! I just got my first SLR camera. It was a bit of an impulse buy. I found it in an antique mall. I got a Pentax K1000. It came with a JCPenny Auto 2x Tela-Converter, a Sunpak Auto 121 flash, and a nice leather camera bag. It also had all the original manuals. I got it all for $76. From what I can tell, seems to be a pretty good deal. I went out today and got 2 rolls of B+W film and 2 of color.

Is it taboo to upload a cell phone picture of my camera?

Just realized that it also came with a HOYA Skylight (1B) filter.

Cool dude! Looks like that should be fun. Go take some shots and get them developed! (Or better yet, develop the B&W ones yourself) ;)

Dropped my first roll off to get developed today. I took the camera over to Forest Park (St. Louis) to take pictures.

A K1000 is THE best camera to learn the craft. No auto to be found. And it's built like a tank.
    Congrats on the great find.
