I'm going to be critical without being a critic. The content is so compelling that Stevie Wonder could probably have gotten a few good images but you have more than a few good ones and more than a few that missed an incredible opportunity. When your subject is this dramatic, you have to step up your game to match the intensity rather than stepping back in some cases and firing away which in a case like this, would be easy to want to do for some people. I feel you did just that in a few images and still because of the subject matter and people themselves, they still hit the mark. The toughest thing to learn and do is to find a compelling setting, subject, story, etc, and NOT just shoot it the way your eyes see it. Not sure I can explain this but for me, whenever I run into a dramatic scene sitting there in front of me, I shoot a safe shot quickly before I lose it, then I create a photograph instead of a picture, the way my camera, lens, settings, and lighting can enhance the drama that is already there. Make sense ?
