Kauai Blow Hole sunset

It's an interesting landscape and I like it; but I feel that the colors are too saturated and unnatural for this shot.

I have seen blow holes get real high......into the air.....maybe this was in action.

It definitely was in action. Unfortunately I had to take what I could get in the 5 mins when the sun & light were right. Depending on when high tide is in relation to sunset it might be possible to get an image of a towering water plume with the setting sun in the background but you'd probably need to show up every day for at least a week to get the right conditions. I had this one night so I just got what I got.

If I lived there I could look for when high tide coincided with sunset and attempt to shoot that day but even then you might not get anything because of clouds, etc ...

Oh, and very little tweaking of this shot was done ...
