King Fisher

I saw a little bird flying over the water and was thinking what kind of bird it was. It sat down across the water on a rope and lucky for me i had my camera with the 300mm lens on it and took some shots. When i previewed the pic later on, i was delighted to see that it was a king fisher. I never knew we had those in the park i always visit.
I know this isnt the best pic ever, but its the best i could do. And im happy with it :mrgreen:

kingfishers are very hard to get, whenever i see one at my local nature reserve its just a flash of light blue..... then its gone. So well done with this, of course it would have been better with a bigger lens or TC.. but with a 300mm this is as close as your gonna get! :thumbup:

Since there was like 30 meters of water between the bird and me there was no way i could closer. I saw it fly by some time later, but like you said, it was just a flash of light. Ah well, at least i got 1 pic of it :mrgreen:
