In June, the Sierra snowmelt is at its peak. During that time, the King's river rushes through its namesake canyon with awesome power. Because the canyon is so deep, the white water makes a stunning, almost expressionistic contrast with the surrounding forest greenery. The thunderous sound is almost deafening. It's the raw power of nature, and it's a humbling experience. Not easy to capture in a photo. This is my "humble" attempt..
