I have an issue with my Kiron lens. After much research, I believe that there is oil on the aperture blades and they are stuck. Turning the aperture ring while looking through the lens lends no change whatsoever. I know that some people clean these themselves and that others send lenses in for cleaning. Being that this lens is pretty old and that I could buy one for the price of what a cleaning cost would likely be, is it worth it to try to clean it myself? I am pretty handy with tools and patient and organized in assembly/dis-assembly.
I like the lens just fine but I would very much like to be able to adjust the aperture on it if I'm going to keep it, haha.
