Finally the Tour de France came to my hometown!
We had the chance to be the arrival and departure point for the last 2 days.
Yesterday I was standing almost 2 hours in full sun just to see them get past me in less than a second  ... I figured it was REALLY difficult to get decent shots, but I want to share them anyway...
here are some shots of the race... they were taken on the last Km of the race just before the arrival.

At that moment the German Kessler was the leader.. unfortunately he couldn't keep up is first place until the end...

Thank you for looking!

How cool to be at the side of the road for the tour. Nicely captured spako.

You are so lucky: you got the tour start and finish in YOUR PLACE!?!?! That is so cool.

And hey, I really like how you captured the tour.
I am sure those cyclists are REALLY fast, so capturing them cannot have been easy, but you did very well here. I like how you captured the action, blurred parts in the very right places of your photos, good panning, cool details (like the guy drinking while going past you at that speed).

And you even got that T-Mobile guy ... sorry, I know only very little about the tour, only that Jan Ullrich is not there (and I am afraid he is not there for a reason, and not for no reason, like he is claiming... ); my son would know more, he watches it on TV and is into cycling himself, too, although he does triathlon ...

You are getting quite the knack of doing sports photography, hm?

Thank you for the comments!
It was great having the Tour in our hometown! there were never so less cars in town then these days :-)
