I want a good system of storing the coordinates of locations that can give lovely compositions, but that just need better lighting conditions. How do you guys store locations you want to come back to later? Is there a dedicated app for this that you can recommend? I would love the possibility of adding notes to each location.

:)

Whip out smart phone.

Launch GPS app.

Take screenshot of GPS coordinates.

Email screenshot to myself.

Yup, in my head mostly. But I have been known to create .kml files to use with google maps, ordinance survey maps and recently I'm experimenting with QGIS as I don't like sharing ;)

Just an idea: lightroom has a map function. Why not create a lightroom catalog or collection of images of those places and tag them in the map.
You can add your notes in the image metadata in lightroom library mode.
