It's kinda hard to eliminate the "distracting background" when there's people everywhere, lol.

Any thoughts? Comments? Thanks! :D

I really like yours. I wish mine came out like this. Your gym looks sooo much nicer in all respects.

2 4 and 5 are my favorites

Thanks guys. I wonder how long those lights will stay that bright though. Hopefully for as long as I'm hangin around there sticking my camera in everybody's faces!

You're starting to get really good at this. Over the season I've seen much improvment. well done.

Thanks Sw1tch! I'm so sad the season's coming to an end. My chances of making it to a boys or girls playoff game are slim to none. :(

Agreed. There is a definite progression through all the basketball shots you've posted. Good work.

Thanks! :D I wanna send a special shout out to my Nikkor 50mm for making all my dreams come true. *giggles*

Nice pictures, crystal clear focus and nice composition too. Very well done. I love the #32 jump shot pictures.
Cosmo

Thanks cosmo. #32 is quite the athlete. I was so upset in the 2nd quarter though, he actually dunked the ball and I missed it! That was the first time he attempted a dunk and I wasn't under the goal. Man I need to get my act together!

These shots are very good,as for your question about th distractig whoreds of fans,I find that manual focus will eliminate that.If you go to my celtic V hibs thread you will see what I mean.

Nice shots!

I'm discovering the beauty of a fast 50mm lens myself. That is a huge part of the reason the gym looks so bright.

1) get the right white balance for the !#$%^ gym lights; this isn't easy sometimes! Did you do a custom white balance? Did you shoot RAW and correct it later? Or do you have a fluorescent white balance setting that works?

2) Set the ISO somewhat high

3) Get close enough so you don't have to crop too much out

4) Be ready!

Anyhow, very nice job.

You have some very nice shots there. I like 2 and 4.

Nice, clear and get 'feel for the game' to the shots.
