My attempt at following Big Mikes advice on portraits (many thanks and I hope this does your advice justice!)

The first one is classic, I love it.

In the 2nd one, it looks like you made the same mistake I did...and didn't get the light low enough (or didn't bounce/reflect/shoot some light in there)...leaving the eyes in shadow.

Keep shooting, he won't mind...for another few years anyway :razz:

I really LOVE #1. Your little baby with the HUGE teddy bear made for a perfect photo!!!! I like #2 too but the babies head was chopped off. Other then that I really enjoyed these!

Thanks a lot guys, much appreciated, he really is a good little soul.

I am really pleased with #1, but I need help to make it pop a little more.

For #2, your right Mike, I should have thought more about the lighting, actually I chose that picture more to follow the advice on portaits, the camera was on the floor so framing and the head chopping was because I couldn't see through the viewfinder

Going to make me a softbox and see how I go.
