My friend offered me a deal.. He's going to trade his LC-A film camera for my 18-55mm Canon Lens...

Will I accept the offer?..I need your opinions..

P.S.
My camera is a canon 550d. I have a 50mm prime lens (which i just borrowed from a friend).

Thanks.. :D

If you will actually use it, I guess it would be a fair trade. They're probably about the same value.

Unless you'll be left without any other lenses after the trade...
(Sounds like that 50mm is just on loan? Do you have any other lenses?)

I've always been a fan of Lomo. Especially LC-A snapshots. So I also take in to consideration that LC-A shots are way raw, dramatic, and crisp than shots from 18-55 mm mounted in an 18 MP CMOS sensor camera... Do you agree? I might be wrong..:)

Unfortunately, those two(50mm and 18-55mm) are my only lenses. :(

I really appreciate your reply,Josh. Thank you.

If the 18-55mm is all you have for wide angle then I'd say no. You would be limiting your Canon to essentially a point and shoot until you got another lens for it.

I'm a huge Lomo LCA fan. Even with my fancy cameras I always come back to it. The key is to treat it like a pro cam with a simple feature set.
