Leading Lines: Which Direction Should They Go?

Yeah, it seems that way to me, too. Looks like the second one was lightened.

Bacon. The lines should always lead to bacon. Lacking bacon, they should lead to chocolate.

I am with Charlie in that they should always lead to something tasty. But really I use them to either lead you away from something, or to something. Whether they are left or right really depends on the scene, and sometimes it is a case of that is where the lines are going where they go without any intent to go anywhere.
