Lens for adventure shots and macro shots

Hi . My name is yoanna and I have decided to learn about photography. Me and my husband do a lot of backpacking so I am looking for a lens that will allow me to shoot animals that I may not want to approach at a close distance and one macro lens to shoot flowers an insects and such. I recently got a canon 60d and have a 18-135mm. I want something that's good quality but not too expensive since I travel a lot. Also i would need a lens that's not too heavy and one that will not get ruined if I backpack where there's snow... I am a complete beginner to photography so I really have no idea what lens is best. I will definitely appreciate any help!!!!
