Hello all, I feel so frustrated right now. I have a Nikon 20mm f/2.8D lens.... or so I think. Someone pointed out that it's not a "D" because there's no D written on the lens itself. But when I look it up on the web, it IS a "D"... I think! What does the "D" mean? Why is it not actually written on my lens?! It looks EXACTLY like a "D" and is AF, everything looks the same. I am SO confused.
D means that the lens tells the camera the distance to which it's focusing. It helps the matrix meter be more accurate, especially with flash.
does this mean that i have the lens without that feature?? I searched everywhere, I didn't see that an option... only "D"! so why would mine NOT have that option?
