Lens Question - which forum

I was at a event recently where there was a lot of gravel dust flying around and I suspect that some has made it into the zoom ring of a lens that I have. I was wondering which is the appropriate forum to post to. I have put it up on equipment before but got nothing.

Are you asking how to clean it ?
might have to send it in to get it all cleaned and lubed.

If it's a Nikon lens the appropriate forum would be the Nikon Lenses forum.
There are several both camera make and lens make specific forums.

+1 in that the obvious solution if whatever is going on with the zoom ring hinders it's function or causes it to make noise is to send the lens in to be cleaned.
