Lens Suggestions/Advice Please - Sorry this is nothing new

Well for now I am in the mountains and birds are coming out more and more as temps rise so I think I will be good to go to take some good pics while hiking or just walking my dog outside. Thats when I get most of my pictures, its not usually something that is well planned at the moment.

That's me too! Hiking with my kids. Which is another reason the big fast glass is out of reach - even if I could buy it, between work and little ones, it would sit unused most of the time. Tripod and waiting work is something that doesn't mesh well with 2 year olds.

And I take pictures of all of the birds I see - I'm just never happy with the little birds (rarely, anyway).

Keep it up. I personally think the pictures are awesome and think all beginner and most intermediate photographers would be happy with that result.
