Lense Question: 75-300mm IS

Anyone used the Canon 75-300mm IS lense? I was wondering how it is. I have looked around and cant find anything on it. I'm asking because I can go pick it up for 125.00 off craigslist. That seems really cheap to me....wondering if anyone has any info on it. The price seems incredible.

That is the old lens and is replaced with the much better 70-300mm IS lens.

But for $125 (in good working condition), I think it is not bad.

I actually have the 75-300 iv had it for several years originally for a film camera... it does work on my DSLR but images to me seem alittle soft... or not as sharp as I would think they should of been.
