PP blindness has set in again.

Does this scene need a real focal point or is it ok as it is?

Thoughts?

As it seems to be me who you're asking first, I say: it is good as it is.
Actually, I'm quite taken in by the simplicity of your photo and its composition!

No, it's great how it is. The four shells take up enough of the frame to be the focal point.
The only thing that bothers me an inordinate amount is how the left shell's shadow is so much longer than all the rest!

I think a slightly tighter crop might help, since there really is a lot of negative space in the frame. I think this shot needs negative space, for sure, but I think it's just a bit too much. Other than that, this is a great shot. Simple, calming, etc. I could see this hanging up in a dentists office or something like that. (And that's a compliment, lol.)

I think the shot looks great as is.... Very calming... Nice work!

Thanks for the feedback, some really good ideas. This was originally framed/shot as a landscape but I felt it looked much more interesting in this cropped form.

I feel a reshoot coming on.

I think the focus is fine as is. The only thing I would change is to take a small amount off the top to get rid of the sand with the pattern broken.

A great shot! And yes simple is good, this proves it to me.
