What's new

Lesson learned or so I thought

Unlimited time, not 2 weeks as it once was, viewing for free on 15 or so courses. Can't beat free.

If you would like to see what one of us would do with the shot, just change your settings to "Photos ok to edit".

Done. That would be really interesting to see!

@mrca Will head over there and check it out, thank you for sharing!

It seems that I generally prefer the natural colors in things.

Thanks @Designer and @ORourkeK. I enjoyed seeing your edits and the difference the impression of the image gets by adjusting wb. I prefer the natural / blueish tone for this picture personally, but can see the appeal of the green tones, cannot name it but it creates a slightly weird atmosphere.

I did another edit now using the wb setting (default at camera 5300K) which I intended to use for the photo originally but forgot to set causing this post in the first place... now that I understood raw and the possibilities, I feel how difficult it is to decide how a picture should actually look in means of tones of colors, given also the exposure and composure of which I have not really a grip of until now, that's a hole lot to try out from here on...

Thank you all again, I am really impressed with this forum!

I prefer the naturalised version, but to be honest, I'd have used a higher contrast b&w edit for this shot, but that's just personal preference :)

Looks much better! I didn't think the blue versions had enough contrast. The people just merged with the background. So I went with a more gentle version. It is funny that my version is being called "green" considering the only parts of the photo that has the slightest bit of green in it are the white stripes. Good job with the new edit!

Something like this, I guess. Hah, it's really difficult to decide on one setting!

I was thinking more like this, but yeah, it's a struggle sometimes to settle on one of the edits, I've a few shots that I have different edits of..
