Life and death in the garden (um..contains ikkies)

I was wandering down my front path on the way home from work the other day and came across a real life and death struggle. I couldn't believe the spider had managed to catch something so big.

But she was a pretty lil' gal

and she had him completely ensared

LOL. I have no idea who the lizard got up there. And I thought about saving it, but I figured nature should be allowed to run its course.

:shock: I've seen a 3-4 inch grasshopper ensnared and wrapped but never would've imagined something so large would get trapped...then again Frodo was a victim too.

Tell ya the weirdest part... the lizard was like two feet off the ground (the web was between two trees). Unless it was a flying lizard, I have no idea how he coulda got up there.
