Lightroom Question

Ok, whenever i export images from lightroom to my SmugMug gallery, i always tick the option that adds my copyright on the bottom left, now what im wondering, is why does the type look like such low quality? is it just how lightroom processes it? or is there something that I could do to improve the smoothness? Example:

Is the GDPhotography text an image that is overlayed? it looks to me as if it has some white edges around the text.

I was going to check this out but I don't find an option to add copyright. Hmmm...

After you have added Metadata ( thats where the you put what you want you copyright type to be) when you go to export theres an option doen a bit that askes you if you would like to add copyright.
