Honestly I like it. For me, it's just the right touch of sand on your fingers and I like the fact nothing in the background is in focus.

It would have been interesting to JUST have the crab in focus. I'm sure it was a spur of the moment so you couldn't have done that.

One other thing, for me personally is if your wrist was cropped off and just your fingers and the crab was showing. I think it could give it a better "effect."

Nice focus on just what you wanted to show us: that tiny crab!
If this were mine, I'd crop it just so the tilted horizon line no longer shows, and then a little bit from the left ... other than that this is perfect!
