Lizard closeup

This is one of my favorite macro shots of my garden's Western Fence lizards. They have become quite tame and don't mind my 200mm zoom 'eye' right in their faces.

I suppose there is too much unfocused area in the shot, but I got the face in sharp focus and he is looking right at me.

I would almost crop off the lizard maybe midway through it's body because it's lower body is pretty distracting. His face is excellent.

Foxman, yes, I agree, there is too much 'fuzzy', and your cropping brings the important part into better balance.

EricD, thank you. :biggrin: To get this shot I took it off automatic focus brought the lens to its closesest focus and moved in until his face was sharp. After a summer of this I could get very close to all of them.
