Location portrait session

I'm making a more concerted effort to do portraits. So Age and I went out with a friend to the hinterland and took some shots. Here's one of the portraits.

The small size looses a lot of info so I've got a link to a larger version.

I'm really enjoying this style. And I've got a few more people lined up to do portraits for over the next 2 weeks. yay!

Anyway, let me know what you think, and any improvements you can think of etc.

Yeah, neat effect, nice color - I like it too. What's he holding there, in his right hand?

And there's a filter of some kind over it, too, right? Some sort of texture effect? What was your reasoning behind using that?

Anyway, nice portrait, and hope your upcoming shoots go well, too!

Yeah that's just a texturey thing I like to do sometimes, I dunno it makes it more interesting I guess...

hehehe yep I'm really coherent today.

But yeah it doesn't show up well at all in that little web version. The larger one shows it much better.

That road looked just like one that I drive on almost daily. I like that shot, must not be too busy of a road that you can sit in the middle of it and take pictures.
