Lomography - isn't it going too far??

I had a holga once (named for andrew wythe's model I think)... I shot one roll of negatives through it with studio lighting. It had a hot shoe. I made a contact sheet then threw both in the trash.

Story of my life, if I had kept it, I could have bought that new kia.

But isn't it going a bit too far? Paying 120$ for a Holga! or a Smena!

But it comes with a "Lomography" T-shirt and/or poster, doesn't it? ;) Holga = $20, Lomo T-shirt = $10, Lomo poster = $5, selling it all to a sucker for $120 = priceless. I've always found the Lomography folks (meaning the sellers) to be a lot more about marketing than photography. I enjoy shooting with strange, odd, toy, and cheap cameras, but with millions of cool, old cameras going for less than $15 on Ebay there's no need to spend the kind of money lomo.com charges.
