Previously when I had my P&S EX-P700, when i had to shoot long exposure, I used my remote so that the image won't be blur. Now I changed to D80, which I wanna know is there a way to shoot long exposure without holding your finger on the shutter-release button? Please, I really really need help on this one, thanx.

Switch the camera into shutter priority mode via the dial on the left, then select how long you want to expose for the shot. As for having no shake, you could also use the shutter timer. Hope that helps.

Also read the manual about shutter priority mode

Nikon also makes a wireless remote that probably works with the 80.

uh?? why not just set your camera to a longer shutter time? like 5 seconds and up? you have to hold it? are you talking about bulb setting?? i use Canons so maybe Nikons don't have shutter speeds up to 30seconds? but that sounds ridiculous. maybe i'm missing something..

I use a cable remote. Was cheap and works well.
