Looking for 2 basic programs

Ive used one before but forgot its name.it scans your HD and finds duplicate images.

i would like to find one that uses metadata to sort by date..

any help is appreciated.

1. Similar Image Finder
2. I just use Windows Explorer to sort by Date or Date Created or Date Modified or Date Taken when I need to do that.

Well my personal favorite is Gemini. Gemini: The Best Duplicate File Finder and Cleaner for Mac OS X | MacPaw. Works like a charm on photos and all other types of files as well as having several other useful tools.

Perhaps a statement like 'I have searched for and tried duplicate file finders programs but they are mostly crap. Can anyone suggest ones that actually work?'

That would separate you from the many people who are essentially asking us to do their homework.
