Looking for a film processor. Advice please?

i've been looking into doing my own E-6 for a while now, and also in spain it gets a little too toasty in summer to be able to keep the chemicals at 20 just by hand control, so:
i'm looking for a small tabletop processor that will process my film.
and my questions are:
how's the quality? is it comparable or better than developing by hand with small tanks?
How much should i be expecting to spend for one that will get the job done? No bells and whistles required.
Are there any reasons why i shouldn't get one?
Any specific models recommended?
